Good points here Spence! its always important to triple check something before its published.
In these Twitter times it seems that the social and business are blurring - good on one hand but means one must be even more careful about what one says (iv gone all royal on yo ass!).

Remember, once its out there be it a Tweet or an RSS its out there and nothing you can do about it!

Thanks for the ideas Spencer.

I've got a blog, that is really a writing space, and place to post articles and topics in various stages of completion or exploration. I've started to not publish the posts until they are in a final stage, but sometimes, I like to hit the publish trigger a little bit early, in hopes of gaining some feedback.

Am I the only one using a blog as a journal, and considering a post as not a final version?

You can't change the title sometimes with CMS platforms such as wordpress, blogengine.net etc or it will change the URL of the post which may already be indexed in Google.

It's just it's hard for me not to continue to add to an existing post, it's never written in stone, and more resources continue to show, up so I just add them to a list I may have already published.

I guess if enough new material shows up and after a set amount of time say 30 days, then it's time to move on and post a part two followup post?
